Greene Naftali is pleased to share that Monika Baer is the recipient of the Hannah Höch Prize 2020. On the occasion of the award presentation, Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (n.b.k.) will honor her with a solo exhibition that will open June 12. This will be Baer's first large-scale solo institutional exhibition in Berlin, and will present a series of large-format paintings alongside smaller collages that mark a continuation of her experimental approach to painting. This exhibition continues Baer's investigation of art historical references, exploring the current state of painting and making clear the new possibilities of the medium.

In conjunction with the exhibition, n.b.k. will host exhibition talks with the artist and Tonio Kröner, Griselda Pollock, Susanne Leeb, and Kerstin Stakemeier. To watch a recording of these talks, please click here
