Greene Naftali will host a talk and book launch to celebrate the U.S. release of Haegue Yang: Emergence, published to accompany Yang's 2020-21 exhibition at the Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto. Catalog author Lynne Cooke will discuss the pivotal role of craft in Yang's expansive practice, which encompasses working methods both artisanal and industrial, interweaving tradition and wild experimentation.

This program is free and open to the public. RSVP is required, as well as proof of vaccination upon entry.

The event will be live-streamed on Greene Naftali's Instagram.

Since 2014, Lynne Cooke has served as senior curator for special projects at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC. Notable past exhibitions include the acclaimed Outliers and American Vanguard Art, as well as solo presentations of artists Rosemarie Trockel, Blinky Palermo, Richard Serra, and Zoe Leonard.
