Haegue Yang lives and works in Berlin and Seoul. Solo exhibitions of her work have been held at Statens Museum for Kunst, Copenhagen (2022); Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto (2020); Tate St. Ives, United Kingdom (2020); National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul (2020); Museum of Contemporary Art and Design, Manila (2020); The Bass Museum of Art, Miami Beach, Florida (2019); The Museum of Modern Art, New York (2019); Museum Ludwig, Cologne (2018); Kunsthaus Graz, Austria (2017); Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris (2016); Ullens Center for Contemporary Art, Beijing (2015); Leeum Museum of Art, Seoul (2015); Sculpture Studios, Glasgow (2013); Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston (2013); Haus der Kunst, Munich (2012); Aspen Art Museum (2011); Kunsthaus Bregenz, Austria (2011); New Museum, New York (2010); and Korean Pavilion, 53rd Venice Biennale (2009).

Yang was recently awarded the 13th Benesse Prize at the Singapore Biennale in 2022, and the Wolfgang Hahn Prize by the Museum Ludwig, Cologne in 2018. Her work is included in the collections of the Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto; Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh; Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston; Kunsthalle Hamburg; Leeum Museum of Art, Seoul; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; Los Angeles County Museum of Art; M+, Hong Kong; Museum of Modern Art, New York; Museum Ludwig, Cologne; National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul; The Solomon R.
